Every fall, RDO brings the community together for Caters Taters, our annual potato luncheon where 100% of proceeds support a local charity. Over the years, the event has raised more than one million dollars for organizations making a real difference right here in our community.
This year, RDO Caters Taters returns on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave S, Fargo. We’re proud to support the Red River Children’s Advocacy Center (RRCAC), whose mission is to promote healing and justice for children affected by abuse.
From the loaded baked potato bar to the prize-packed raffle, RDO Caters Taters is full of ways to join in and give back.
1. Join Us for Lunch
The heart of RDO Caters Taters is the luncheon itself. Each year, guests enjoy a hearty one-pound baked potato with all the toppings, plus dessert and a drink. Whether you dine in at the Holiday Inn or order Take Out, your meal makes a difference: every ticket sold helps raise funds for the year’s charity partner.
2. Order Take Out
Can’t stay for the event? Pre-ordering Take Out is a simple way to join in while treating your workplace or team to lunch. Groups placing 25 or more Take Out orders are recognized as Spud-Tacular Sponsors, making it an extra-special way to show support.
3. Buy a Raffle Ticket
Buying a raffle ticket is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to support RDO Caters Taters and this year’s charity partner. Thanks to generous donations from our sponsors, the raffle is packed with exciting prizes and experiences.
Each raffle ticket is $10 and can be purchased in the following ways:
- By emailing RDO team member Holly Heitzman
- From RRCAC employees
- At the first-floor reception desk of the RDO Field Support Office (225 Broadway N, Fargo)
- At the event on October 21
Note: You do not need to be present at the event to win. Raffle winners are drawn after the luncheon and notified by the end of the day. The more tickets you buy, the better your chances to win — and every dollar goes directly to the RRCAC.

4. Become a Sponsor
Many local businesses and groups show their support through financial sponsorships, helping to offset event costs. Sponsorship is a powerful way to give back while showing your commitment to the community.
5. Spread the Word
Can’t attend in person? You can still help make RDO Caters Taters a success by spreading the word. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, share event posts, invite friends and co-workers and encourage others to buy lunch tickets or enter the raffle.
