Jeremiah Program Graduates Share How their Lives Have Changed – and How to Help

Jeremiah Program of Fargo-Moorhead changes lives – two generations at a time through innovative strategies to give single mothers the tools to be the authors of their destinies and disrupt the cycle of poverty.

But what happens after they complete the program? Hear a few moms who have graduated share how their lives have changed for the better.

“After the Jeremiah Program, I am able to help empower other single mothers to become the best version of themselves,” she says.

“After the Jeremiah Program, I am able to not only make an everlasting impact on my two daughters’ lives but the community around me,” she says.

McKenzy, 2022 JP of Fargo-Moorhead graduate

McKenzy emphasizes the program’s positive impact on her self-esteem, and the doors it has opened for her. She graduates from the program this fall.

“After the Jeremiah Program, I will be able to move forward as an empowered, educated woman who has the necessary tools to lead a productive life with my son,” she says. “I’m humbled and so very grateful to the Jeremiah Program which has been beyond supportive of both my son and me these past four years.”

Ashley, 2022 JP of Fargo-Moorhead graduate

Ashley also graduates from the program this fall and will continue to work towards a career in social work.

“After the Jeremiah Program, I can embark on a new journey with my son. Upon graduation, I will have completed my two-year degree in psychology,” she says. “The life that I will lead after this program will be something that I never thought I would be able to accomplish, but here I am. Even the darkest of circumstances can be transformed into something wonderful if you possess determination and willpower.”

More single mothers and their children can be served through the Jeremiah Program of Fargo-Moorhead’s work. In fact, they served the highest number of families in JP Fargo-Moorhead history last year, impacting more than 200 lives, a 71% increase from 2021.
